Josh Donnelly
Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours – University of Newcastle
Josh is a Novocastrian and Newcastle University graduate with 1st class honours. After working at a sport and spinal physio clinic in Port Macquarie he joined the NUmoves team to increase his experience and professional skill. He has since commenced studying a master’s degree to further expand his knowledge and taken a lead role with our physio student education program. Josh has extensive on-field and side-line sports experience with rugby and soccer, currently working with Adamstown Rosebuds FC, and previously with University Rugby, Edgeworth FC and the Newcastle Jets Academy, that including a tour to South Korea. Josh has volunteered with St John Ambulance health service events for over a decade. He has physio qualifications in dry needling and has plenty of exercise rehabilitation experience. Josh is a great communicator and will help you with a plan to be fit, healthy and happy. He is the person to see for a second opinion or when you just want to get it right the first time.

Meg Lowery
Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours – University of Newcastle
Meg is driven by a passion for helping people. She is a University of Newcastle Honours graduate with a background in Community Health Physiotherapy. Her experience brings an excellent understanding of helping people with a broad range of conditions. Meg is enthusiastic towards helping local sports clubs with experience as game day physio for Edgeworth NPL Soccer Club and currently the head physio for The University of Newcastle Rugby club. Meg is an active gym member with a keen interest in weightlifting. She is friendly and approachable with a love for health and fitness.

Oliver Drummond

Oliver is a local novacastrian who graduated from Newcastle University. He enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve their goals. He is an excellent communicator who excels in providing information clearly to allow for better understanding of the problems and solutions. He is a very friendly person and builds trust and confidence with his clients during their recovery journey. Outside physio work, Oliver is very active with surfing, running, swimming, and hitting the gym. This diverse athletic background enables him to provide tailored support for both injury recovery and performance enhancement. Jess Miller
Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) – University of Sydney
Masters of Musculskeletal Physiotherapy & Manual Therapy – University of Western Australia
Jess has been working as a physio for almost 30 years. She founded NU Moves Physiotherapy in 2004 after a decade of gaining experience in Australia and the UK and completing a post grad master’s in Manual Therapy. Her experience spans acute sporting injuries to chronic pain however more recently Jess has focussed on treating people with neck pain. She is Pilates trained and loves to help her clients move better and reduce pain through manual therapy and exercise. Jess also works for the Australian Physiotherapy Council to accredit undergraduate physiotherapy programs across Australia and assess international physio qualification equivalence.

Pete Miller
Bachelor of Physiotherapy – University of Queensland
Masters of Medical Science (Physiotherapy) – University of Newcastle
Graduate Certificate in Health Science (Education) – University of Sydney
Pete has been helping people as a physio for almost 30 years including on-field physio during sports of netball, AFL, football and rugby. He has gained post-grad qualifications in education / adult learning and completed a master’s research degree that looked at how expert physios differ from novices. He loves to share his knowledge and experience by mentoring our team of physio’s and teaching physio students. He combines education with manual therapy and exercise prescription to get the best results in the shortest time. Currently Pete is working in occupational physiotherapy with local companies, helping keep their workplaces active and injury free.
